  • Clinical Supervisor (must be or have worked as a clinical leader)

    This role requires the post holder to undertake a clinical supervisory role, overseeing several vaccinators, and other staff, while delivering a safe vaccination service. This includes assisting with the overall coordination of the POD activity and day to day delivery of the vaccinations, ensuring clinic rooms and equipment within own area are prepared and sufficient stock of clinic supplies are available.

    The Clinical Supervisor is required to supervise the pre-vaccination clinical assessments to confirm the correct vaccination, the consent agreements and consult on the provision of specialist advice on contra indications and address any concerns that may arise regarding the vaccine and contra-indications.

    To take up this role applicants must be a registered Health Care Professional, who has experience of operating in a clinical supervisor capacity.

  • Vaccinator (RHCP)

    This role requires the post holder to undertake multiple roles as required. These include, conducting pre-vaccination clinical assessments (assessing current health conditions and medical history, including previous vaccinations to confirm if the citizen meets the criteria for safe vaccination. Ensure vaccine preparation (drawing-up, ensuring correct storage and providing pre-prepared syringes to the vaccination station, ensuring the reconstruction of the vaccine is as per manufacturer’s instructions.

    Observe citizens directed to the post-vaccination area to recognise and respond to any medical emergency.

    To take up this role applicants must be a registered Health Care Professional, who ideally has current up to date immunisation experience and training or willingness to undertake this training.

  • Vaccination Support Administrator

    This role requires the post holder to access and maintain accurate patient records, adhering to confidentiality as per policy. Record vaccination consent and marking completion, ensuring all paperwork has been provided pre-vaccination by the citizen, check identity & confirm vaccine details (type, date, time, dose). Report low vaccine stock to maintain appropriate levels, checking expiry dates and recording wastage and record vaccine stock when removed or returned to fridge and to report low stock levels for vaccines, stationery and clinical equipment.

    The post holder is also required to record vaccination event and mark completion; if for any reason the vaccination hasn’t been completed, record that information along with the reason.

    To take up this role applicants must be educated to GCSE / NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification and / or equivalent experience.

  • Vaccination Support Health Care Assistant

    This role requires the post holder to support the vaccination activity by preparing the citizen for the vaccination (e.g. have their arm ready) and assist with the configuration of the vaccination station and waste control (including ensuring the availability of initial consumables, waste receptacles, trolleys and vaccines).The post holder will also be required to sanitise vaccination stations and the post-vaccination observation areas in between each vaccination.

    To take up this role applicants must be educated to GCSE / NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification and / or equivalent experience.

  • Vaccinator (Band 3)

    This role requires the post holder to administer the vaccine to citizens under the direction and supervision of a registered health care professional. In addition, the role is responsible for configuring their vaccination station, disposal of clinical waste and changes of PPE as per national guidelines and adhering to infection control practices between vaccinations. The post holder will be required to be able to respond to and raise issues or concerns with the registered health care professional, supervisor on complications or emergency situations, such as anaphylaxis.

    To take up this role applicants must be educated to NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or hold an equivalent healthcare qualification or possess significant clinical experience. Applicants are required to commit to undertake COVID-19 Vaccination training and competency assessment and basic life support and anaphylaxis training.

  • Volunteer Marshal
    APPLYAPPLY

    The volunteer marshal will support in the management of safe patient flows for those citizens attending for vaccination. This requires the volunteer to meet and greet citizens attending for vaccination, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities with regards to the wearing of PPE and social distancing requirements. They will also provide information to citizens as required, or if unable to, direct them to those areas where support can be given.

    The Volunteer Marshal will escalate any instances of conflict or confrontation to the Security Support, so remedial action can be taken and support the team on site by undertaking ad hoc requests as required such as acting as a conduit between the front of house and clinical areas, and /or other non-clinical parts of the pod.
